Antwerp, Belgium--HRD Antwerp recently announced the opening of its first gemological laboratory outside of Antwerp, Belgium, with a launch in Istanbul, Turkey.
Announced at the Istanbul Jewelry Show, the opening is in line with HRD's strategy of linking the global diamond center of Antwerp to diamond and jewelry hubs overseas, the organization says.
The Istanbul lab will provide on-the-spot diamond jewelry certification services to
Turkish jewelers, boosting consumer confidence in Turkish jewelry. In addition, HRD says Turkish manufacturers will benefit from receiving reports from the local lab with a minimum waiting time and no overseas shipment costs.
